The kamea of Jupiter

The 4 × 4 magic square of Jupiter: every line sums to 34.

The 4×4 magic square — every row, column, and diagonal sums to 34, and the total sum of all cells is 136. It is through this grid that the sigils of Jupiter's entities are traced, connecting numerical values to create sacred geometric forms.

The kamea of Jupiter holds the numbers 1 to 16 in 4 rows of 4. Each row, each column and both diagonals add up to 34, and all the cells together to 136.

Row by row:

  1. 4 · 14 · 15 · 1 = 34
  2. 9 · 7 · 6 · 12 = 34
  3. 5 · 11 · 10 · 8 = 34
  4. 16 · 2 · 3 · 13 = 34

These numbers are Jupiter’s: 4, 16 cells, 34 on every line and 136 in all (the profile lists 4, 16, 64, 444).

How a sigil is traced

A sigil is a picture of an intention, or of a name, drawn by joining numbers on a kamea. Planetary Sigils follows a simple method:

  1. Write the intention and keep each letter once.
  2. Drop the vowels.
  3. Turn each consonant into a number, A = 1 to Z = 26. If that number is not on the square, reduce it to 1–9 (J = 1, K = 2 … R = 9).
  4. Find each number on the square and join them in order: a small circle marks the start, a short bar the end.

Example: ABUNDANCE on the kamea of Jupiter. Unique letters ABUNDCE, consonants BNDC:

  • B 2
  • N 14
  • D 4
  • C 3

A sigil for “Abundance” traced on the kamea of Jupiter: it opens with a circle on 2, follows 2, 14, 4, 3, and closes with a bar.

Work with a sigil of Jupiter in Jupiter’s own hour, ideally on Thursday. Today’s planetary hours show when it falls.

The traditional sigils of Jupiter’s intelligence (Jophiel) and spirit (Hismael) were traced on this same square, from the Hebrew letters of their names.

Trace your own

Planetary Sigils does the reduction and draws the sigil for any intention on any of the kameas, then lets you watch it traced line by line, save it and share it.
